What started as a small gathering has grown into an incredible community of over 100 Latine therapists from around the world.\n\nInspired by this powerful community\, Linda Ruvalcaba from Empieza Aquí Counseling founded Empezando Contigo: Association for Latine Therapists to continue fostering these connections. We now host virtual networking events every month\, along with expanding in-person events nationwide.\nThese gatherings are more than just professional networking—they’re about building meaningful connections\, supporting one another\, growing our referral lists\, and addressing the challenges our comunidad faces. We believe in decolonizing the networking experience\, so feel free to join however you’re comfortable: with your cenita\, vino\, cafecito\, or even from your car. DESCRIPTION:Colegas\, it’s time to clean out your bookshelves!\nCome join in a Miembros Book Swap Party on Thursday\, July 16th at Changing Hands Phoenix from 6pm to 8pm. \n\n\n6pm to 7pm will be a social hour – grab some drinks and food from the First Draft Ba \n\n\n7pm to 8pm – book swapping time \n\n\n  \nBook Swap Rules: \n\n\nBring any mental health related books you wish to get rid of \n\n\nAll books will be laid out on a table during the social hour \n\n\nAt 7pm we will gather around the table to select books \n\n\nAt first you may select the amount of books that you brought (i.e.\, you brought 3 books to give away you can select 3 books to take back with you). You do not need to select as many as you brought. \n\n\nOnce all have been selected if there are any remaining books those are available for grabs! \n\n\nMental health related books can be anything! Bring workbooks\, therapy related books\, non-fiction\, fiction books with mental health related themes\, anything you feel belongs on a therapist bookshelf and you would like to give it a new home. \nAny books that don’t get claimed will be donated to Changing Hands Bookstore or a local public library for their Friends of Library bookshop sections. \n\nPlease note that this is a Miembros Only event and that space is limited! RSVP by July 14th.
